Bahrain closes 3 restaurants for Covid-19 violations

The Public Health Directorate at the Health Ministry has carried out 139 inspection visits to restaurants and cafes on Friday, May 21, in coordination with Interior Ministry and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA).

The directorate found that 35 restaurants had violated the mandatory health measures recommended by the Ministry of Health and decided to close three restaurants for one week.

The violating outlets allowed the entry of persons below the age of 18 and unvaccinated ones. There were also individuals without the vaccination certificates on the BeAware application. Moreover, sanitizers and temperature meters were not available.
