Royal Endurance Team Shine in the World Championship in France

The Royal Endurance Team has today made history, winning the world junior and youth championship for teams. 
 
The team triumphed in the 120-kilometre race which was held in Castelsagrat, outclassing 70 other contenders who took part in the contest, thus ending its European season in style.
 
HM King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Royal Endurance Team Captain, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
 
HH Shaikh Nasser hailed the care and support accorded by HM the King, which enabled Bahrain’s endurance sport to reach an international level and triumph at European and global competitions.
 
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad also extended congratulations to the UAE endurance riders who finished first and second in the race at the individual level.
 
The Royal Endurance Team finished first after three riders succeeded to complete the four-stage race successfully.
 
Team Victorious rider Isa Hameed Al Enzi finished third to clinch the bronze medal, clocking 6 hours, 14 minutes, and 54 seconds. Teammates Abdulla Al Ashaer Al Ruae (Team Victorious) and and Sultan Abdulaziz Al Romaihi (Al Zaim Team) finished fourth and sixth respectively.
 
A ceremony will be held tomorrow, Sunday, to crown the UAE riders in addition to Isa Hameed Al Enzi who booked a birth on the podium.
 
Apart from the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Tunisia, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Finland, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Mauritania, Malaysia, Poland, the Netherlands, Norway, Indonesia, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the USA, and France also took part in the race.
