Gulfood 2024: Global Food Industry Experts to Attend Annual Dubai F&B Event

The Gulfood trade show, the largest annual food and beverage sourcing event worldwide, will return to Dubai from 19-23 February 2024.

Organised by Dubai World Trade Centre, Gulfood continues to be the premier platform for the global food and beverage community.

Over 5,500 exhibitors and visitors from 190 countries are expected to attend Gulfood 2024 where the future of the food industry will be in focus, the Dubai Media Office said in a statement.

Industry leaders will discuss how to transform global food systems to sustainably feed a growing global population amid challenges like climate change.

Innovations such as agricultural technology, artificial intelligence usage in production and reducing food waste, which currently accounts for a third of global output, were highlighted as ways to boost resilience.

“Gulfood will be the first opportunity in 2024 for the global F&B industry to convene, and gain insight from some of the world’s leading food futurists into where the global food industry goes next. Gulfood will be the only platform to identify the business opportunities and forge the business partnerships brought about as the industry enters a new era, defined by paradigm-shifting technology such as AI”, Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President, Dubai World Trade Centre said.

Under the theme ‘Real Food, Real Business’, Gulfood 2024 will showcase authentic products and forge partnerships. Over $12 billion in commercial deals are sealed at each event.

Notable exhibitors include Agthia, Dilmah and JBS. New country pavilions from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Venezuela will also attend.

The co-located Gulfood Inspire conference will see experts provide insights into supply chain digitalisation, the shift to more circular systems and funding opportunities.

Confirmed speakers include Jacob Jensen, Denmark’s Minister for Food and Agriculture and Gary Urteaga, founder of food technology investor Jenesiz Capital.

In addition, the popular Top Table live chef showcase will see over 100 chefs like Alain Passard and Joan Roca of El Celler de Can Roca demonstrate global cuisines.

The YouthX Challenge will also return, developing the next generation of food industry talent.
