Dubai World Cup Closing Ceremony: 4000 Drones And Fireworks On Display

The Dubai World Cup, renowned for its spectacular horse races, its hefty prize purse worth a staggering $30.m, and grand closing ceremonies, is gearing up for another memorable evening at its 28th edition on Saturday, March 30.

Dubai Racing Club (DRC) announced plans to push the boundaries of visual spectacle using cutting-edge drone, laser, and lighting technology in a bid to set another Guinness World Record for the event.

Unprecedented closing ceremony

The evening will feature 4,000 specialised drones synchronised with LED lights, offering a mesmerising 33-minute display of dynamic 3D sculptures in the sky.

The spectacle aims to surpass previous standards of pyrotechnic innovation and grandeur, promising racegoers an experience like never before.

Major General Dr Mohammed Essa Al Adhab, executive director of Dubai Racing Club, expressed his excitement, stating, “The Dubai World Cup is well-known for a spectacular closing show and we are working with our partners to make this one better than ever. Those attending the March 30th race evening can expect to see something they haven’t seen before!”

Last year, the event combined over two thousand M2 LED screens and augmented reality accompanied by a choreographed ensemble of drones, planes, and pyrotechnics.

The show featured 1,900 drones–the movements of which broke two Guinness World Records–and two acrobatic motor gliders firing pyro, laser lights, and fireworks synchronised to an original soundtrack.
