RUW successfully participated in the fourth edition of the Saudi Centre for Commercial Arbitration and the Arabic Moot in Commercial Arbitration in the International Edition.
How was the innovation planned?
Students were selected, trained and prepared to participate in this competition. The whole process extended over a period of nine months.
What were the challenges faced during implementation?
The main challenges facing our students lie in balancing between class attendance, exams and the required time and effort to work on these competitions.
Give us a brief assessment of your results.
RUW Moot Team competed against 110 teams from other universities, from 20 countries. Altogether 780 students and academics were engaged in the competition. Our team demonstrated exceptional skills and won 3rd position outperforming all universities in Bahrain and GCC.
RUW’s students’ continuous successes in several moot court competitions resulted in RUW earning The Top Local Rank in Bahrain and the 485th Rank Worldwide in the NICA Team.
In hindsight, what were the most valuable lessons learned while implementing the innovation? Could things have been done differently?
At RUW, we empower and encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities and provide them with mentorship support. The Law programme is delivered in both English and Arabic, which encourages students to take part in many opportunities and extra extracurricular activities.
