Expats with monthly income over BD1000 can sponsor children above 24

Bahrain’s Minister of Interior issued a decision regarding entry visas and residence permits for foreign workers.

The decision allows sponsorship of the spouse or children who did not exceed the age of twenty-four, provided that the monthly income is not less than BD400.

The decision also indicated that when sponsoring children over the age of twenty-four or parents, the monthly income of a foreign worker or employer should not be less than a thousand Bahraini dinars, in addition to the requirement that they have valid health insurance in the Kingdom.

The National Passports and Residency affairs may exclude some cases according to the discretion of each case separately.
