Philippines: Coronavirus Recoveries Surpass Death Toll for the First Time
The number of patients who have recovered from the coronavirus disease in the Philippines reached 353 Wednesday, surpassing the number of COVID-19 fatalities reported in the country.
Fifty-eight more people were cleared of the virus, the Department of Health said in a bulletin.
For the first time since the local transmission of COVID-19 was declared, the total number of recoveries exceeded the death toll which stood at 349. Only 14 new fatalities were reported.
