Saudi: 5499 new COVID cases and 262 critical cases

New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia stayed above the 5000-mark on Thursday with 5,499 new infections recorded over the past 24 hours.

2 persons have died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 599,044 and the virus-related fatalities to 8,901.

A total of 2,978 people recovered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 555,035.

Among the active cases 262 of them were in critical condition.
