Bahrain’s Ministry Of Health to Implement New System For Issuing Electronic Medical Leave

In a move towards digital transformation, Bahrain’s Ministry of Health is phasing out paper-based medical leave certificates. Instead, patients will be able to access electronic copies directly from the ministry’s online system using a QR code.

Health centers have recently placed informational posters at registration desks explaining how to obtain the electronic leave certificate. Patients can access the “Medical Leave” section, newly added to the ministry’s official website as part of the National Health Information System (I-SEHA) project.

They can then enter their details and verification code to download the certified copy bearing the Ministry of Health’s official stamp.
