UAE Announces 3-Day Weekend Public Sector Holiday for National Day 2023
The UAE has announced a three-day weekend holiday for the public sector to mark the occasion of National Day 2023.
The Federal Authority For Government Human Resources (FAHR) said December 2 to December 4 would be a public holiday for public sector employees.
It also announced remote working, where possible, for December 1.

In a statement on social media, FAHR said: “The UAE Cabinet approves the National Day holiday for the federal government from December 2 to 4, 2023.
“Federal Government employees to resume work on Tuesday, December 5th.
“Friday, December 1 will be a remote working day for employees of ministries and federal entities.”
Previously, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced December 2 and 3 will be a paid public holiday for private sector workers in the United Arab Emirates.
