Kuwait may soon begin vaccinating pregnant, lactating women

Obstetrics, gynecology, and fertility medicine consultant and head of the Fertility Medicine Unit at Jahra Hospital, Dr. Hazem Al-Rumaih expects Kuwait to begin vaccinating pregnant and lactating women against COVID-19 soon, reports Al- Jarida daily.

He confirmed that a number of countries around the world have already started vaccinating pregnant and breastfeeding women as recent research and studies proved the safety of coronavirus vaccines for pregnant and lactating women.

It was further stated that the vaccines do not affect the fertility of men and women, clarifying there is no need to wait for three months after vaccination to get pregnant.
