Interim Minister of Oil, Electricity and Water, Dr. Muhammad Al-Faris, confirmed the termination of 433 expatriate employees.
Kuwaiti employees are appointed according to the manpower needs of the entities in line with the replacement policy.
Al-Faris disclosed that to fulfill the Kuwaitization plan, 130 non-Kuwaiti employees will be terminated in fiscal 2021/2022 and 156 in fiscal 2022/2023; a total of 286 expatriates in the next two years.
