Bahrain: Two men arrested for human trafficking

Two men have been sentenced to 10 years in prison for charges of human trafficking.

The court also fined each defendant BD2,000 and ordered them to bear the repatriation expenses of the victims.

Investigation revealed that the defendants tricked five women through “phony advertisements online promising them jobs with good pay” only to later detain them and force them to practice prostitution while the defendants collected the money.
