Saudi Arabia updates Covid immunization status starting Tuesday

The countdown to updating the immunization status has begun in Saudi Arabia.

Starting Feb. 1, the “Immune” vaccinated status will expire in the Tawakkalna application for anyone who is aged 18 and above and has passed eight months after taking the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine but has not received the booster dose.

The immunization status will not change if the period is less than 8 months, stressing the need to obtain the third booster dose to enter facilities, public places, entertainment venues, airplanes and public transportation. Groups already excluded from the vaccine requirement will be exempt from the new conditions as well.
