Bahrain takes action on participants, organisers of illegal gatherings
Deputy Chief of Public Security today announced that legal procedures had been taken against individuals, and others are being summoned for calling for and organising illegal gatherings.
The gatherings were organised following the burial rituals of Hussain Ahmed Isa Barakat, who passed away at the Salmaniya Medical Complex due to COVID-19 complications.
He said that such gatherings risk public health and safety as they are of violations of the precautionary measures recommended by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus.
It is essential to protect the supreme national interests and the nation’s accomplishments by rejecting sedition attempts and promoting national unity, he added.
The Deputy Chief asserted the importance of following preventive measures and avoiding breaking the law.
